Quick Details About Ionic Air Purifier
Q:How can you tell if an air purifier is working?
A:A simple way to test that your purifier is working is by checking the airflow out of your purifier. Air purifiers have a fan that draws in air from inside the room. As the purifier filters out harmful pollutants from your air, the purifier will blow out clean air.
Q:Does HEPA filter make air dry?
A:No, a HEPA air filter does not dry the air. They simply circulate the air, move it through a filter to trap particles, and release the air on the other side. The reason the air purifier may make your air feel dry is because of the way air circulates. Cold air is drier than warm air as it holds less moisture.
Q:Do plasma air purifiers produce ozone?
A:There's no ozone emission from air purifiers that use only high-efficiency particulate air filters (HEPA filters) to cleanse the air. Ionizing air purifiers, because of their electric charge, do create ozone. Consumer Reports has warned that they may give off potentially harmful ozone levels.
Q:How does a plasma ionizer work?
A:A plasma ionizer puts negative ions into the air.
Negative ions will attach to particles in the air, such as particulates, tobacco smoke, bacteria and more. Now, all the particles with negative charges will clump together, become heavier, and fall onto surfaces. There, they can be cleaned up.
Q:Is PlasmaWave technology harmful?
A:Is PlasmaWave safe? Yes, Plasmawave meets the California Air Resource Board's AB 2276 standard, which is the most rigorous American certification benchmark for indoor air cleaning ozone emissions.

Air purifiers come labelled with a Clean Air Delivery Rating (CADR), a metric developed by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM). The CADR rating helps consumers understand how fast an air purifier can clean the air within a particular room. It shows the speed at which the air purifier can filter out dust, smoke, and pollen molecules (the three most common pollutants).
On average, dust particles vary between 0.5 to 3 microns. Smoke particles range between 0.1 to 0.3 microns. At the same time, pollen particles are 5 to 11 microns in size.
CADR is also measured in cubic feet per minute (CFM). To illustrate, an air purifier with 500 CFM can purify a 500 square feet room faster than one with a 400 CFM. Therefore, the higher the CADR number, the quicker the filters can refine the air.
